Toledo, July 2. The Sumar candidate for the Presidency of the Government of Spain, Yolanda Díaz, has presented this Sunday a measure of her electoral program for the general elections on July 23 entitled ‘Life time’, with which she proposes to reduce the working day up to 32 hours a week.

This was announced by Díaz during a public act in front of 300 people, with candidates from the party for Congress and the Senate at the Palacio de Congresos de Toledo, where he stated that “there is nothing more important than time” and that Sumar wants ” people don’t have to live to work.

Specifically, he has indicated that the objective is for employees to be able to leave their job “one hour earlier” and reduce the working day to 32 hours without reducing salary, something that he has asserted is “absolutely possible”.

Díaz, who before entering the Palacio de Congresos addressed a few words to the public who have not been able to access the premises due to lack of space and has asked them to encourage neighbors and friends to vote on 23J, even if they have to do it by mail, has defended what has been done during this legislature but has also recognized that “much remains to be done”.

KEEP RAISING THE SMI, COLLECT MORE TAXES FROM THE BANKING, AMONG THE FUTURE CHALLENGES

Thus, it has promised that the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) will continue to rise, since Spain is 25 points of wage difference from the European average, and to make “the big banks” pay more taxes, which has just been distributed ” without embarrassment or scruples” 32,000 million euros before taxes.

Among her proposals, the Sumar candidate has also opted to act to compensate for the loss of purchasing power, especially for whom the mortgage has become a problem, as well as has advocated for a public rental housing stock “with dignity” .

For young people, Díaz has highlighted the measure entitled ‘Universal Heritage’, with the aim that when young people reach 18 years of age they can have 20,000 euros so that they can undertake their vital project.

“We have an enormous opportunity that is full of hope for a much better country, for a Spain for everyone, happy, with freedoms and rights,” Díaz declared, while urging those present to mobilize on 23J so that Sumar can govern Spain.

In addition, Díaz has warned that the right tries to install the story that they have already won the elections but “it is not true, do not resign”, he stressed, and has encouraged people to go vote to “win the next decade”. EFE
