Fifteen mass retail stores burned down, hundreds of small businesses looted, vandalized, ransacked. This is the sad first count made on Saturday by the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire. How many companies in total will bear the brunt of the urban violence that exploded in response to the death of young Nahel killed by a police officer last Tuesday in Nanterre? How many employees, civil servants or contractors from town halls, schools, nurseries, etc. Are today (and tomorrow?) unable to work?
