Despite his young age, 26, and his fine trajectory on European lawns, Maxwel Cornet is already preparing his post-career. The former player of Olympique Lyonnais, from 2015 to 2021, and current resident of the Premier League, at West Ham, won, this Saturday, July 1, a Master in Business Administration at the Lyon Business School.

It was his wife Melissa who announced the news on Instagram. “Congratulations Maxwel Cornet for this well-deserved diploma, the result of hard work for a few years, and here it is finally,” she wrote.

The Ivorian international with 29 selections has had a string of successes for a few weeks. On June 7, with his West Ham teammates, he won the Europa League Conference against Fiorentina (2-1). The left-hander, however, did not enter the lawn, contenting himself with a presence on the bench.

After 6 years in Lyon, in 2021, he took the direction of England by signing for 15 million euros on the side of Burnley. After a convincing exercise with the Clarets, he was transferred to West Ham in the summer of 2022 where, however, he played little. Indeed, this season, he has only played 14 games (1 start) without scoring in the Premier League.

It is therefore far from the pitch that Maxwel Cornet has distinguished himself this time. An ideal way to anticipate his post-career.
