Holiday route: why Brittany has no tolls

Toilets and coffee machines are taken by storm. At the Brocéliande rest area in Ploërmel (Morbihan), motorists take a break on the holiday route. Originally from Pas-de-Calais, Éric and Simone, in their fifties, come to Brittany every year. Out of the question to go down to the south of France with their small budget. “It would cost us too much with the highways. We have already paid at least 15 euros in tolls to get to Brittany”, complains Éric.
