LaLiga Spain has entered a ‘new era’which includes the change of image in competitions and content, with the replacement of the logo at the top of its headquarters in Madrid.

The First Division football championship is renamed LaLiga EA Sports.

The body of the Spanish professional clubs has distributed some images in which it is summarized the withdrawal of the previous logo and the name of LaLiga and the installation of the double ‘L’new hallmark.

But, in addition, various changes will also be presented in terms of transmissions, added to the new competition ball and the ‘naming’ of the divisions.

This will be the new LaLiga EA Sports: New ball, new cameras, new ‘naming’

As a “revolution” EA Sports presented its approach to the new season of LaLiga, showing a ‘teaser’ video in which it included a camera on the benches, detailed shots of penalties and fouls, immersive cameras inspired by video games and a camera cinema located in the locker room.

Added to this, the official broadcasts will also have new graphics with white, orange and black as the predominant colors. The official ball, for its part, will keep the usual white and will have purple, blue and yellow tones.

Regarding the ‘naming’ of the divisions, the First Division will be ‘LaLiga EA Sports’ and la Segunda will be LaLiga Hypermotion.

The new name of Primera makes direct reference to the sponsor; while the surname of the Second Division refers to the technology used by EA Sports so that there is more realism in the video game. “We wanted a name that would give value and personality to the Second Division, we didn’t want it to be anything with 2. The name is well thought out and with the aim of achieving a pride of belonging. LaLiga Hypermotion is going to have its own identity”, they explained from LaLiga.

Tickets at 30 euros

Another of the initiatives that has been presented at the event is a new agreement between 14 clubs so that visiting tickets cost 30 euros, in a maximum of 300 locations.

The teams that have participated in this agreement are: UD Almería, Cádiz, Sevilla, Real Betis, Valencia, Atlético de Madrid, Girona, Mallorca, Celta, Real Sociedad, Athletic, Granada, UD Las Palmas and Alavés.

Another novelty in the coming weeks will be the launch of an online store, in alliance with Fanatics (a ‘retail’ partner of the US NFL and NHL), of products from the competition and the clubs that make it up, including official shirts. All this with the aim of developing LaLiga as a global brand, with different subsidiaries and business units, which goes beyond its core work of organizing First and Second Division football.
