It happened thanks to the successful IPO of Ozon. The retailer’s turnover for nine months grew by 89%, to 538.9 billion rubles. The growth of Mr. Melnichenko’s fortune is associated with the rise in prices for raw materials that his companies extract. World prices for coal have doubled, for nitrogen fertilizers – four times, potash – three times, phosphorus – two times.
