The fortune of Russian billionaires in 2021 grew by $ 101.4 billion, according to the Forbes rating. The most successful were the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov, the founder of Wildberries Tatiana Bakalchuk and the main shareholder of Eurochem and SUEK Andrey Melnichenko.

Forbes notes that Mr. Durov topped the rating thanks to the placement of Telegram bonds. Ms. Bakalchuk’s fortune has grown due to the revaluation of Wildberries. It happened thanks to the successful IPO of Ozon. The retailer’s turnover for nine months grew by 89%, to 538.9 billion rubles. The growth of Mr. Melnichenko’s fortune is associated with the rise in prices for raw materials that his companies extract. World prices for coal have doubled, for nitrogen fertilizers – four times, potash – three times, phosphorus – two times.
