Chief Justice Sanjay Gangapoorwala Orders Appointment of CV Karthikeyan as 3rd Judge in Senthilbalaji Case

CHENNAI: Chief Justice Sanjay Gangapoorwala has given the order to appoint CV Karthikeyan as the third judge in the Senthilbalaji case.

Previously, Judge Nisha Bhanu and Justice Bharatha Chakraborty dismissed the petition and issued different orders in the verdict on the recruitment petition against Minister Senthil Balaji, who was arrested under the Anti-Illicit Money Transfer Act.

Simultaneously, in the hearing of the Enforcement Department’s petition filed in the Supreme Court against the High Court’s order allowing Senthil Balaji to seek treatment in a private hospital, the Supreme Court has decided to transfer the hearing on the recruitment petition to a third judge. The Supreme Court has directed that the appointment of the third judge be made within a week.

In this case, Chief Justice Sanjay Gangapoorwala of the Madras High Court has chosen CV Karthikeyan to be appointed as the third judge in the Senthilbalaji case.

CV Karthikeyan began his career in 2005 as a trainee judge in Ramanathapuram court. He obtained his law degree from Ambedkar University.
