A miracle. An American woman who was “stuck for several days in the mud” was found alive in a natural park in the Northeast of the United States, a week after her disappearance, announced the local authorities.
She “was conscious and alert and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for observation,” said police in Stoughton, Massachusetts, who were carrying out the search operations on Monday evening. She has “serious but not life-threatening injuries,” said Easton police, who oversaw the rescue operation.
His cries alerted hikers
The young woman, aged 31, had been wanted by the police since her family reported her disappearance on Monday, June 26. A week later, and while the search campaigns remained unsuccessful, she was located by hikers who heard screams in a marshy portion of the Borderland State Park, near Boston. The young woman was rescued by firefighters, who had to use quads to get to where she was stuck.
