The Fourth Section of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court has handed down a sentence in which it declares that the Plenary of a City Council, in the exercise of its function of control and supervision, has the competence to approve declarations of disapproval of any of its councilors, provided that they refer to matters that affect the circle of municipal interests, there are reasons of duly justified general interest, and provided that they do so in a balanced manner and keeping due proportionality. The court confirms the agreement of the Plenary of the Cádiz City Council on October 27, 2017, which approved the disapproval of the councilors of the Teófila Me Ignacio R.
