Agents of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency claim to have conducted an operation in Iran. According to the information, the goal was to capture the suspected leader in Cyprus who led the Iranian plan to attack Israelis.
The name of the suspect in a statement released by the Mossad on June 29 Yusif Shahbazi Abbasalili is displayed. It is alleged that he “received detailed instructions and weapons from the senior ranks of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”

According to the suspect, he took the target into custody and took photos of the person’s house in Cyprus. However, as soon as he received the news that the police had tracked him down, he left the island and returned to Iran.
The suspect said that he worked with Iranians, Pakistanis and Cypriots during the operation.
It is not clear from the video whether the suspect spoke under duress.

According to Israeli officials, the suspect was active only in North Cyprus, which is recognized by Turkey.

EU member Cyprus also did not comment on Israel’s statements. However, a high-ranking official told journalists that he will not tolerate any terrorist actions on the territory of the bloc member.
