In accordance with article 12.3 of Law 7/2022, of April 8, on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy, it is the responsibility of the person in charge of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge to prepare the Waste Management Framework State Plan, which must contain the diagnosis of the situation, the general strategy and the orientations of the waste policy, as well as the minimum objectives of separate collection, preparation for reuse, recycling, valuation and disposal.
The public information will take place between July 5, 2023 and August 4, 2023, both inclusive.
Taking into account the concurrence of reasons of public interest, due to the need for the Waste Management Framework State Plan is approved before the end of 2023 to enable compliance with the favorable condition for the access of the autonomous communities to community funds in the 2023-2027 program in the field of circular economy and waste, the General Subdirectorate for Environmental Assessment, in accordance with article 33 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, agreed on the urgent processing of the strategic environmental evaluation procedure of the State Waste Framework Plan (PEMAR), which means the reduction by half of the terms of the actions of the procedure.
Consequently, the public information will take place between July 5, 2023 and August 4, 2023, both inclusive.
