Brest customs officers have established the real cost of a batch of complex food additives, which the Polish carrier intended to illegally import into Belarus.

Following from Poland through the Kozlovichi checkpoint, the driver of a DAF truck submitted documents for processing, in which the indicated cost of complex food additives was more than 80 thousand rubles.

Brest customs officers, during the inspection of the vehicle and carrying out additional verification measures, found that the real cost of the transported goods is 5 times higher than the declared one and amounts to about 400 thousand rubles.

Understating the cost would save about 60 thousand rubles on customs payments.

Brest customs started an administrative process in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of this article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
