Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef get divorced. The couple announced Thursday that they have separated after six years of marriage, but are still committed to the “co-education” of their children.
Through a joint statement they sent to People magazine, the former couple reported that they have amicably concluded their marriage that began in 2017.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity towards ourselves and our children – preserving and honoring what we have experienced as a couple during these wonderful years,” they said in a joint statement.
“Our greatest desire now is to continue to have a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on our genuine friendship as we co-parent our children,” they added.
After these statements, the former couple did not give more details about the reason for their separation after several years of marriage.
Ricky Martin announced on January 10, 2018, that he and Yosef had married, after 2 years of dating. The Puerto Rican singer announced the news in statements to the news ‘E! News’, of the American channel E! Entertainment Television.
As a couple, Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef had two children: Lucia, born in 2018, and Renn, who was born in 2019.
Ricky Martin has two other children: the twins Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008.
The Puerto Rican performer will perform on August 26 and 27, at the José M. Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico, his “Symphonic” concert, in which he will be accompanied by the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra for the first time in a show.
The couple met in 2015 through Instagram and in the same way they announced their separation, through a statement that the singer published on his social networks.
