Marche. At the call of several left-wing organizations, a citizens’ march was organized in Strasbourg to protest against “the poison of discrimination”, social tensions and clashes in France. La France Insoumise, Europe Écologie Les Verts, the New Anti-Capitalist Party, the CGT and Attac are among the organizers.

Tribute. On July 8, 1943, Jean Moulin died, killed by the Nazis in Metz, in the Moselle then annexed by the Germans. The Lorraine metropolis pays tribute to the resistant, for the 80th anniversary of his disappearance. A celebration took place five years ago, with the inauguration of a statue of the senior official in Metz station.

Meeting. Aurélien Pradié continues to play his little music on the right by bringing together his supporters in Paris, at the Jardins de l’Archipel des Berges de Seine Niki-de-Saint-Phalle, under the Esplanade des Invalides. The 37-year-old deputy ran against Éric Ciotti and Bruno Retailleau at the Congress of Republicans in December 2022. He had won 22.29% of the votes, to everyone’s surprise.

Farewell. After fifty-nine years of career, Elton John definitely bids farewell to the public in Stockholm. The 76-year-old British singer is retiring after a career filled with hits like Candle In the Wind, Sad Songs, Your Song or I’m Still Standing.

Hopes. If the French unfortunately lost in the quarter-finals of the Euro Espoirs, the competition comes to an end this Saturday with the final between England by Emile Smith-Rowe and Spain by Sergio Gomez.
