Jorge Aguilar, spokesman for the National Civil Police (PNC), stated that the operations began the first week of June and are scheduled to run until July 31. He added that the breaks of the agents and vacations were suspended to give security to the citizens before, during and after the payment of the bonus 14.
However, the general security plan began on July 3 and is expected to conclude on the 31st of this month.
“More than 40,000 agents will participate in the operations, they monitor ATMs, bank exits, bank agencies, shopping centers and stores,” Aguilar explained.
