Vineet said that Dulquer, Nivin Pauly and Asif Ali came to mind while thinking of the heart. All of them have done campus movies. That’s when Appu’s face comes to mind. Vineeth revealed in an interview that he wanted to do the film with Appu even before he started writing the script.
