Dario Saric Joins Golden State Warriors on a One-Year Deal

In a surprising move, free agent forward Dario Saric has agreed to a one-year contract with the Golden State Warriors, according to his agents, Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman of Excel Basketball. The deal was finalized on Saturday morning, marking a significant addition to the Warriors’ roster.
Saric, who previously played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns, had been one of the most sought-after players left on the free agency market. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-10, Saric will provide the Warriors with size and shooting options off the bench.
The Croatian forward has fully recovered from an ACL injury that kept him sidelined for the entirety of the 2020-2021 season. This comeback has surely caught the attention of the Warriors’ coaching staff and front office, who are confident in Saric’s abilities.
What makes this signing even more intriguing is Saric’s playoff history, particularly his impressive performance during the Philadelphia 76ers’ 2018 playoff run. In those playoffs, Saric averaged an impressive 17.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Additionally, during the Suns’ playoff campaign in 2021, he contributed with 10.5 minutes per game in 14 appearances.
Having averaged 11 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists throughout his seven-year NBA career, Saric brings a wealth of experience to the Warriors’ organization. With stints at the Sixers, Timberwolves, Suns, and Thunder, Saric has demonstrated his ability to make an impact wherever he goes.
