The Schlagermove has been in Hamburg since 1997. The music trucks will be driving through the city again this year. It’s celebrated loudly.
They are many hit fans, they are colourful, flashy and exuberant. The 25th Schlagermove started in Hamburg on Saturday afternoon in sunshine and heat. According to the police, the afternoon tour was peaceful. The start was at Heiligengeistfeld, the route led along the harbor to the Reeperbahn. 48 trucks were registered. Michael Holm was announced as the star guest for the evening.
The cult event has been around since 1997. Around 400,000 visitors came to the 24th edition of the Schlagermove in summer 2022. Before that, Moves 2020 and 2021 had been canceled due to the corona pandemic. According to the organizers, the aim of the move is above all to keep the Schlager cultural asset alive through a free music and dance event that is accessible to everyone.
