An investigation targeting singer Izïa Higelin for “public provocation to commit a crime or misdemeanor” was opened by the Nice prosecutor’s office, the latter told AFP on Saturday, after the artist mentioned a lynching of Emmanuel Macron at a concert on Thursday. “It is the territorial brigade of the gendarmerie of Beaulieu-sur-Mer (Alpes-Maritimes) and the research brigade” which are seized of the investigation, added the Nice prosecutor, Xavier Bonhomme, confirming initial information from Nice morning. He clarified that the investigation did not follow a complaint.
