Caban added that the shooter was traveling on an “illegal scooter that did not have a license plate to move from one location to another” and that “despite the difficulties this presented, our investigators were able to obtain video of the shooter” which was sent “to every NYPD officer’s smartphone using what’s called a critical message.”

A second officer tried to chase the shooter in his vehicle.but it turned into a foot chase, when the gunman apparently dumped the scooter, where they found the gun.

“It was a ghost weapon,” the source explained.since it did not have a serial number or was registered and witnesses have assured that the detainee was driving on the sidewalk and shooting randomly with it.

“We were inside and we heard three shots, pum, pum, pum, one after the other”has described the owner of a local store that has added that “I looked outside but I did not see it. People said that he was on a motorcycle on the sidewalk shooting randomly. People were screaming and running,” he concluded.
