Grazia Rusticali arrives at the Nord publishing house

Change in the editorial direction of the Nord publishing house, protagonist of various successes in recent years, starting with the bestselling saga by Stefania Auci. Cristina Prasso, in fact, leaves her position to Grazia Rusticali. Prasso, who is retiring, remains on the company’s board of directors: she will continue to contribute to the GeMS Group brand in a different role. Recently, Cristina Prasso has also taken on the role of director of astoria, imprint of Guanda. The new editorial director Grazia Rusticali had been editor in chief of fiction at Sperling & Kupfer since 2013, to which Piemme was added in 2016. After graduating in Foreign Languages ​​and Literature, Rusticali attended the Masters in Paper and Multimedia Publishing directed by Umberto Eco; she subsequently gained experience in the Piemme publishing houses, Federico Motta, Feltrinelli and il Saggiatore, to then return to Piemme with the role of editor for foreign fiction.

The Nord publishing house (acquired in 2002 by the then Longanesi Group, and since 2005 part of the Mauri Spagnol Publishing Group), now led by Marco Tarò, began its activity in 1970, with the aim of bringing Italian readers closer to the science fiction and fantasy, two literary genres that were almost absent in bookstores at the time. Over time, the editorial line of the publishing house has opened up to many other genres. In recent years, in particular, several bestsellers have arrived under the editorial direction of Cristina Prasso (here her articles for ilLibraio.it, ed).
