Vacation in your own city: Stay where we are

When I saw this flyer lying on our kitchen table, the search was over. For weeks I had been thinking about where I should go on vacation with my two children, eleven and seven: to a tree house in southern Sweden, on a carriage ride through the Vosges – but nothing caught, everything seemed more exertion than relaxation, more journey than So relaxation, and just as I was quietly beginning to curse the constant school holidays, I found this postcard-sized note in our kitchen. Under a lightly handwashed picture of the cathedral and the stone bridge, I read the words, bold and red: HOLIDAY IN MY OWN TOWN.
