Recently, the hit movie ‘Writer’ directed by Franklin Jacob was released in theaters. The film stars Samuthirakani, Dileep, Iniya, Subramaniam Siva, GM Sunder and Hari Krishnan in the lead roles. At the heart of the film is the story of a head constable who struggles to free an innocent ph.d student from unnecessary vain blame. The film was critically acclaimed and received rave reviews.
Lalit Kumar, co-producer of Seven Screen Studios, the co-production company of Vijay starrer ‘Master’, has teamed up with director Franklin Jacob, the production company has officially announced on its Twitter page. It has also been reported that information about the cast and crew of the film will be released soon. Seven Screen Studios has produced ‘Tuglak Darbar’ starring Vijay Sethupathi. The company is also producing Vikram starrer ‘Mahan’. The film is slated for a January release.

The writer is also produced by Pa. Ranjith on behalf of Neelam Productions. His first film ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, directed by Mari Selvaraj, received positive reviews and was a commercial success. Later the film ‘Karnan’ directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by S.Thanu with Dhanusha was well received. Thus Pa. Ranjith is a workshop that produces the best directors.
