the canadian Michael Woods prevailed this Sunday in the eighth stage of the Tour de France, with the finish line at the mythical Puy de Dôme, after beating, with 400 meters to go, the American Matteo Jorgenson, from Movistar, who led almost the entire ascent.
The 36-year-old cyclist from the Israel team thus achieved his most prestigious victoryafter having won two stages in the Vuelta a España.
Second of the stage was el inglés Pierre Latour, ahead of the Slovenian Matej Mohoric, who he surpassed Jorgenson in the final stretchwhich collapsed in the final stretch.
