Within the framework of the Infrastructure and Va Maintenance Plan for the downtown area 2023
Adif is carrying out nightly maintenance work on the railway infrastructure at the Fuenlabrada station, belonging to the C-5 suburban line in Madrid. In addition, this action also benefits the Extremadura railway corridor, since the infrastructure subject to the works reaches Valencia de Alcántara (Cáceres).

The actions include rail replacement work and welding, which will be carried out with various types of machinery. These maintenance tasks will contribute to reinforcing the reliability of the infrastructure.
The work is carried out at night, between 00:30 and 4:30 a.m., so as not to interfere with the rail service, and will take place until August 13.
Likewise, Adif is carrying out additional works in a 5 kilometer section, between the Atocha Cercanas and Orcasitas stations, on the same C-5 line. These performances, also at night, will last four weeks, until July 31.
The works are part of the 2023 Infrastructure and Va Maintenance Plan for the downtown area, endowed with 21 million euros.
