Jamie Foxx Makes First Public Appearance Since Hospitalization

Celebrated actor Jamie Foxx was spotted on a boat in Chicago, making his first public appearance since his hospitalization due to a “medical condition” earlier this year. The sighting, captured by TMZ, gave fans their first glimpse of Foxx in months.

Foxx’s daughter, Corrine, confirmed the hospitalization in a statement back in April. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the statement read. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Nearly a month later, Foxx himself took to social media to give an update on his health. “Appreciate all the love. Feeling blessed,” he wrote on Instagram.

Foxx’s health issues prevented him from hosting Season 6 of the game show “Beat Shazam” on Fox. Nick Cannon stepped in to fulfill hosting duties while Foxx recovered. However, the network announced that they will continue working with Foxx and his daughter Corrine, who will host the upcoming show “We Are Family,” set to premiere in 2024.

Although Foxx’s family has not disclosed the details of his medical condition, Corrine revealed in May that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and had even been playing pickleball.

Fans were thrilled to see Foxx back in action, waving at onlookers from the boat. It is unclear when he will resume his regular professional commitments, but his public appearance is a positive sign of his ongoing recovery.
