Francis Rebledmanaging partner of the firm Rebled Bellvehí Lawyers, is the new guest of the Girona Valley podcast, the podcast promoted by Diari de Girona and the digital communication agency La Factoria dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. Rebled values ​​the expansion of its buffet, which, with 25 professionals, is the largest in the demarcation. The firm, founded in Girona in 1997, has faced important changes in recent years such as the merger with Bellvehí Advocats, in 2021, the opening in Barcelona, ​​in 2022, and the arrival in Tarragona, last month. With the mentality of an entrepreneur, the vision of its founder has always been one of expansion with the integration of portfolios of other lawyers, but with the headquarters in Girona: “The legal profession, in general, lacks the vocation of an entrepreneur and the mentality of an entrepreneur. Because an office is still a company, a service company with all that entails. But, unfortunately, in our sector it is not understood that way. I have always managed the office with the spirit of business and growth».

Rebled analyzes the current moment of the office with the “feeling of being the 50% businessman and 50% lawyer because I like both things” and is proud to be the Girona law firm with the most professionals. “We are an office at the service of companies and businessmen with the challenge of always having to innovate to stay up to date and adapt to changes.”

Rebled, who is a professor at the Faculty of Law of the UdG and a member of the board of the Associació Catalana de Compliance (Compcat) also values ​​the importance of the legal program “Compliance” for companies, “since it is increasingly important to have it”, with the “star theme” of the moment, which is artificial intelligence. “We are just at the beginning” of this great revolution that will also affect Justice.

Justice, which is going through very turbulent times due to the current strikes and previously due to the pandemic, urgently needs important changes to improve “above all, it must be efficient and fast in order to be fair”, considers Rebled, although he admits that despite administrative and telematic digitization: “transformation is not easy to face and what is needed is to always move forward with the aim of dignifying the profession”.
