Travel company “Time Voyage” together with partners from the United Arab Emirates held a presentation of hotels “R Hotels”. The network includes 7 hotels in different regions of the UAE. In our country, the guests embarked on a road show* to acquaint the representatives of the tourist industry with the latest hotels in the format of business breakfasts. The professional start in Belarus was made in the Hermitage Hotel in Brest, the next day the partners from the UAE moved to Grodno and will finish their meetings in Minsk.
“Tours to the Emirates have been of interest to Belarusian tourists for a long time,” says Olga Eremenko, Deputy Director of Time Voyage. “However, earlier our citizens needed a visa worth about $80 to visit the UAE. After the abolition of visas for citizens of Belarus, we noticed a surge of interest in the Emirates.
Now tours to the UAE have become even more accessible due to the work of the Belavia airline, which sends planes there every day from autumn to the end of May. In summer, the flight program is slightly reduced, because many competitors appear – first of all, Georgia and Turkey. High competition forces representatives of the UAE tourist industry to offer good discounts.
And we see: hotels are implementing various programs in order to interest tourists. Many hotels in the UAE today allow children to stay free of charge under certain conditions, for example, if the child is accompanied by two adults. Interest in the Emirates has also grown due to climate change. I can state personally: over the past 10 years, the UAE has become much drier, which makes it much easier to endure the heat. Even in the daytime, the country is now very comfortable.

Mr. Imran, what are your hopes for the Belarusian market?
– Many Belarusians have a rest in our hotels. But we see the future. This is our first road show in Belarus, which we organized exclusively. Until now, we have never come to Brest, Belarus, there was no experience of meetings with agencies. Now they will have more information about our hotels, know the various subtleties and nuances that we can offer. Why are we doing this? We hope that the Belarusian market will only grow.
What are your first impressions of Belarus?
– Yesterday we had a full-fledged three-hour tour of Brest, we went to the Brest Fortress. I was very impressed by the history of this place. It is noticeable that people living here are modest, but with dignity. They take great care of their city: the cleanliness is extraordinary. I was also impressed by the cuisine of your country – we tried traditional dishes, visited local restaurants, a very decent level of food. And the first thing I noticed in your country was the extraordinary beauty of Belarusian women.
