The 40 families who filed a complaint for fraud by the builders of the City Towers Black housing complex, involved in the real estate corruption network in Benito Juárez, reached an agreement to grant him pardon.

Said action, explained the lawyer Rodrigo Muñoz Dromundo, one of those affected and representative of the other neighbors, will not apply to the officials involved in said network, which has led to the arrest of former public servants of the mayor’s office.

However, he said, there are others involved, such as Víctor Manuel Mendoza, former director of Planning and Development, who signed the authorization for the use and habitability of the building, despite the fact that it had multiple irregularities that threatened the safety of its owners.

In an interview, he pointed out that an agreement was reached between neighbors, authorities and the construction company for it to carry out the requested repairs and remodeling, in addition to extra issues that will be granted, in order to compensate for several years of bad milk.

Comprehensive reparation for the damage was also reached, which cannot be disclosed due to the existence of a confidentiality agreement, but pardons have already begun to be signed at the Attorney General’s Office.

He commented that more than forgiveness is an acknowledgment that we agree on what has been achieved, which does not exempt public officials from their responsibility, as is the case of the brother of the PAN deputy Luis Alberto Mendoza, who is still a fugitive.
