The 26th edition of the RoboCup, the biggest international competition dedicated to robotics and artificial intelligence, opened on Tuesday July 4 in Bordeaux. On this occasion, teams of robots competed in a football competition full of action and crashes.
The humanoid machines were obviously the center of attention. For these robots, whether they are only a few feet tall or look like a child, walking is one of the most difficult activities to perform. Only a few automatons, such as Boston Dynamics’ Atlas, have mastered it at present.
Far from being just a sporting competition, the RoboCup is also an opportunity for technology enthusiasts or the curious to discover innovations in the sector.
