India captain Virat Kohli’s hopes of scoring a century in his final match of 2021 have also come to an end.
Goalie was dismissed for just 18 off 32 balls in the second innings of the first Test against South Africa yesterday (Wednesday, December 29, 2021).
Kohli, who scored 35 in the first innings, batted 5th in the Boxing Day Test. Since he has not hit a single century so far this year, everyone was eagerly waiting for him to cross the 100-run mark in at least the second innings and end 2021 with a win.

In the first innings, Lungi Nkidi dismissed Virat Kohli. The Indian captain was dismissed for 18 off 32 balls in the second innings, which did not go a long way for Goal this year.
The sad news is that Run Machine, who once scored hundreds in all three formats of the game, has not scored a century since November 2019. The fact that he has gone two years without scoring a century in international cricket has raised various speculations.
But in the Test series against South Africa (India vs South Africa) everyone believed that Kohli would continue his normal game. However, the Indian captain was unable to fulfill his wish and the expectations of others.
India have scored over 300 runs in the Test against South Africa, which is the best score to win the first Test.
