Food, accommodation, health: everything is more expensive in Paris

Transport, food, leisure, care, clothes… everything costs more in the Paris region than in the rest of metropolitan France. This is according to a study by Insee, published on Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, we learn that the prices of goods and services are 7% higher in the Paris region than in the provinces.

The study details the price differences in 2022 but also the consumption habits of households, which differ between Ile-de-France and the other regions. This is the case, for example, of the use of collective and individual transport.
