And four for Jasper Philipsen! The Belgian (Jasper Philipsen) won again in the sprint during the 11th stage of this Tour de France. He beat Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco-AlUla) and Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain-Victorious) at Moulins. The sprint had however started badly for the sprinter, who could not count on his usual pilot fish, Mathieu van der Poel. But with such legs, nothing could happen to him.

This massive sprint does not change anything in the general classification. Jonas Vingegaard retains his yellow jersey and his 17-second lead over Tadej Pogacar. Given the very flat profile of this 11th stage, Neilson Powless also keeps his polka dot jersey, while, thanks to his new victory, Jasper Philipsen is still well in the lead in the green jersey.

Three fighters had decided to race in the lead this Wednesday. But Matis Louvel (Arkea-Samsic), Andrey Amador (EF Education-EasyPost) and Daniel Oss (TotalEnergies) never managed to offer themselves a significant advantage, breaking their teeth over the peloton’s desire to achieve a massive sprint. Given the meager seconds in advance, Louvel and Amador even let go, while Daniel Oss was caught 13 kilometers from the finish. The Italian will console himself, all the same, with the prize for the most combative of the day.

It was finally in the rain that the peloton showed up for the final packing. In the last ten kilometers, the fight for the good positions was particularly intense. By trying to place Fabio Jakobsen ideally, Julian Alaphilippe even almost brought down the yellow jersey Jonas Vingegaard. No runner finally fell.

Unlike the first three sprints, where he had been perfectly led by Mathieu van der Poel, Jasper Philipsen quickly found himself alone. But he finally found the opening to win and afford a fourth victory in this Tour de France.
