Constantly well placed, Girolamo (n°6) took second place and was ahead of Disco d’Occagnes (n°14), Gamble River (n°10) and Fuego du Mortier (n°15) who completed, in this order, the fifth.
Note that the favourite, Fanatic Flash (n°13) did not have the best of times before finishing with obvious resources in eighth place.
