DISPATCH — After the first season met with great success last year, M6 is broadcasting season 2 of its show “Les Traitors” from this Wednesday evening. 18 personalities with very varied profiles will compete in this game inspired by the “Werewolves of Thiercelieux”. Among them, Jean Lassalle made a strong impression.
It is a “game of lies, manipulation and betrayal where all shots will be allowed”, shot at the beginning of March in the heart of the castle of Val Lanobre in Cantal, and presented by the funny magician Éric Antoine. 18 candidates divided into two teams: 15 “loyal” and 3 “traitors”.
Between honesty and lies
During the day, everyone participates in psychological or physical tests like Koh-Lanta, and the winners win silver bars that they put aside. Once a day, as in Thiercellieux’s role-playing game, the remaining candidates all discuss together and decide to eliminate a player (from the other team, ideally). At night, only the traitors get together and eliminate a loyal (usually the most suspicious). In each round, only one player is protected by an immunity collar that he won during the day.
The game continues in this manner until only traitors or loyalists remain. The winners share the amount of money set aside during the events and donate it to an association of their choice.
To stay until the end, you have to be attentive, cunning, and ready to lie! To do this, as in the first season, M6 displays an eclectic distribution to say the least.
From Jean Lassalle to Nathasha Saint-Pier
As reported Allocinated, we will find for this season Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut and her son Tom Pernaut, the couple of sports influencers Tibo Inshape and Juju Fitcats, the singer Nathasha Saint-Pier, the actress Charlotte de Turckheim, the candidate of Koh-Lanta Claude Dartois, Laura Flessel, former Olympic fencing champion, comedian Kheiron, actor Vincent Desagnat, host Guillaume Pley, content creator Andy Raconte, cook Norbert Tarayre, weather forecaster Gennifer Demey, star of Affaire Concludes Caroline Margeridon, the philosopher and essayist Vincent Cespedes and Kristofer Hedia, the champion of “Don’t forget the lyrics!” The icing on the cake… Jean Lassalle is also there!
“My sons came to see me when they are always very careful with me. They said to me: It will take you out of your comfort zone. You will discover something else, you will discover men, women from sections of our society that you don’t talk about, so go ahead!“, he tells the show. In addition to that, he admitted to Éric Antoine to have wondered “if Charles de Gaulle would have done it”!
It remains to be seen whether he fizzled out, he who also said he “came a little backwards”. “I had barely read the rules of the game and it took me a while to understand that there was not one traitor, but three to discover”, he laughs.
