The Airport Club Frankfurt was once founded by Deutsche Bank and Lufthansa. For many years it was considered an exquisite address for exclusive discussions. The club is now bankrupt. This is mainly due to two reasons.
The Airport Club at Frankfurt Airport has always been one of the first addresses when managers of large companies or even the leaders of Frankfurt Eintracht have invited them to discreet talks. When Gerd Schüler, founder of the legendary airport discotheque Dorian Gray, celebrated his 80th birthday with family and celebrities in 2021, the club was the scene of the action.
If managing director Roland Ross has his way, the location will continue to receive guests on the upper floors of the Frankfurt Airport Center – internally referred to as FAC 1. But the now 35-year-old club had to file for insolvency, with the district court in Frankfurt agreeing to continue under provisional self-administration.
