Lisa Marie Presley’s Cause of Death Revealed as Small Bowel Obstruction: Official Report

Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of rock icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley, has died at the age of 54. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has determined that her official cause of death was complications of a small bowel obstruction. However, the full toxicology report has not been released yet, leaving open the possibility of other contributing factors. TMZ was the first to break the news of her passing.    

Presley was rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles after experiencing a cardiac arrest at her residence in Calabasas, CA. Despite the efforts of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and fire department medics to stabilize her, she was unable to recover. She was then taken to a local hospital in nearby West Hills, where she ultimately passed away. 

On the night before her death, Presley and her mother attended the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills to support actor Austin Butler, who won the Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award for his portrayal of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming film. Presley also attended a birthday event for Elvis at the Formosa Cafe in Los Angeles alongside her daughter, actress Riley Keough. 

Lisa Marie Presley had a successful career as a singer-songwriter, releasing three albums throughout her life. She inherited the vast Presley estate at a young age following the deaths of her father, grandfather, and great-grandmother. Her strong resemblance to her father was just one of the legacies she carried. 

Presley was laid to rest at her father’s Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee. Details regarding memorial services for the beloved rock and roll royalty are yet to be announced. Her passing has left the music industry and fans around the world mourning the loss of an iconic figure.
