The consumer price index (, in the acronym in English) of Argentina advanced 6.0% in June compared to May, informed this Thursday, 13, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec). The increase recorded in core inflation was 6.5%. The result points to a deceleration in the monthly comparison, however, in the annual comparison, inflation continued to accelerate, accumulating an increase of 115.6%.

The sectors that recorded the greatest increase were communication (10.5%), health (8.6%) and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (8.1%). The sector with the lowest increase was food and non-alcoholic beverages, with 4.1%.
