Iliya Zyumbilev is the new one Governor on Plovdiv. He is a specialist in the field of energy. He is an electrical engineer by profession, has a doctorate in materials science, and specialized in one of the most prestigious higher engineering schools in the world – ENSAM University in Paris, France. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and several books published in Bulgaria, in other European countries, in the USA and Canada. He was a part-time teacher at the Plovdiv branch of the Technical University – Sofia.

Together with him, new regional governors of Sofia city, Lovech, Pleven, Dobrich and Silistra were appointed.
