Tiffany Chen, girlfriend of actor Robert De Niro, announced that she was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy after giving birth to her daughter.

Chen, 45, shared in an interview with CBS that shortly after giving birth to the baby she had with Robert De Niro, she began to experience difficulty eating and speaking, which led her to go to a doctor and found out she had Bell’s palsy.
“My tongue felt weird, it was tingling a little bit, it was starting to get a little numb. I realized that my face felt weird. He didn’t know what the feeling he was having was. It felt very weird,” she commented.
According to Stanford University, Bell’s palsy is the paralysis of the facial muscles that makes a person unable to move their face.
‘I was trying to eat, I tried to put the food in my mouth and it all came out, I couldn’t eat. Then she was starting to slur her words. I realized that something is really going on here,” she added.
