“Why wander far when the good is so close by” – many Germans seem to take this saying to heart and prefer to spend their holidays in the Federal Republic. Exploring the many corners of Germany is currently very popular. So it’s no wonder that things can sometimes get tight in popular cities or at well-known natural monuments. But there are also many lesser known cities that are not on everyone’s bucket list, but are worth a visit!
The holiday home search engine Hometogo has created an insider tip index and reveals 25 lesser-known places in Germany that are also suitable for an autumn holiday. For the evaluation, data on overnight prices, temperature information, reviews of restaurants, outdoor activities and the best photo spots were evaluated. Zero to ten points were awarded in the respective categories. In the picture gallery we present the top ten in more detail and give tips for a trip.
