The Slovenian made an attack on the yellow jersey a few hundred meters from the last ascent before being inexplicably blocked by a lead motorbike.
The sequence is likely to cringe in the ranks of Tadej Pogacar’s UAE Team Emirates team and the Tour de France camera crews.
