Welfare assistance
The ceremony to provide government welfare assistance on behalf of the Tanjore district administration was held at the Tanjore King Sarapoji Government College Grounds yesterday. First Minister MK Stalin attended the function and inaugurated 90 projects worth Rs 98 crore 77 lakh 69 thousand, laid the foundation stone for 134 new projects worth Rs 894 crore 56 lakh 28 thousand and provided Rs 238 crore 40 lakh 95 to 44,525 beneficiaries. Sarapoji Market
In Thanjavur Corporation, 309 new shops have been set up at the upgraded Rajappa Park and Sarapoji Market at an estimated cost of Rs. 18 crore 61 lakhs.
The Integrated Agricultural Extension Centers at Thiruvidaimarudur and Papanasam, Integrated Seed Certification and Organic Certification Office Complex constructed at a cost of Rs.
Eye Hospital
The new eye hospital building constructed at the Tanjore Rasa Mirasudhar Hospital premises at an estimated cost of Rs. 16 crore 47 lakhs has been inaugurated. On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Corporation, a substation has been opened at Pattukottai Kottam Document at an estimated cost of Rs. 6 crore 10 lakhs.
New projects
Renovation of Annai Satya Stadium at a cost of Rs. 5 crore on behalf of Tanjore Corporation, 60 works on behalf of Kumbakonam Municipality at a cost of Rs. The foundation stone was laid for the upgrade of the Paver Block Road.

Highways Department
The foundation stone was laid on behalf of the Fisheries Welfare Department at a cost of Rs. 8 crore for the construction of a fish landing site at Pattukottai Circle, Lower Garden Fishing Village. On behalf of the Rural Development and Panchayat Department, the foundation stone was laid for 16 works at a cost of Rs.
The foundation stone was laid for 3 works worth Rs. 686 crore 98 lakhs on behalf of the Highways Department and Rs. 49 lakhs 90 thousand works on behalf of the Welfare of the Handicapped.
The First Minister also provided welfare assistance on behalf of various departments including Revenue and Disaster Management Department, District Business Center, Fisheries and Fisheries Welfare Department, Medical and Public Welfare Department, Adithravidar and Tribal Welfare Department.
