Singer and actress Jane Birkin died Sunday at the age of 76. The world of music and culture pays tribute to this artist who will have marked a generation.

Jane Birkin had recently canceled concerts for health reasons. According to the information of the Parisian, she was found lifeless at her Parisian home on Sunday. Idol of a whole generation, the Franco-British singer arrived in France at the end of the 1960s.
Asked by BFMTV, the musician Alain Chamfort paid tribute to a woman “very concerned about others”. Recalling that she was involved in several associations, he greeted a “committed” and “tender” woman who was “very touched by the events around her”. He called Jane Birkin a “life-scarred” woman who “always put herself on the side of the weaker”. “She could not remain insensitive to the misfortunes of others,” he added.
He also expressed his admiration for the “very fragile” voice of Jane Birkin who carried “a real sincerity in the interpretation of the songs”.
