The new line of children’s toys “Biyaya”, produced by the Base Business Unit (UEB) Fábrica de Instrumentos Musicales, was presented today at the Arte en la Rampa Cuban Culture Fair, in Havana, as part of the activities by Children’s Day.
Aldo Peña Díaz, director of the UEB, explained that the creators of “Biyaya” designed simple gadgets that encourage knowledge in the little ones.
He pointed out that the cost of toys is affordable for the economy of Cuban families.
Regarding the choice of the name that gives life to this collection, he highlighted that it alludes to the behavior of children, and it was chosen in homage to the Glossary of Cubanisms, by Don Fernando Ortiz.

He stated that as part of the Day for Children’s Day in the largest of the Antilles, different recreational activities will be carried out in the Cuba Pavilion, place chosen to present the toy line to the public.
Regarding the work of the UEB Fábrica de Instrumentos Musicales, Peña Díaz reaffirmed the entity’s commitment to artistic education in the country, because the largest percentage of its production goes to that sector.
Tamara Rendón Portelles, communicator from the Havana Branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets, stressed that “Biyaya” corresponds to the different policies in support of the environment on a global scale such as recycling, circular economics and the use of resources.
The XXII edition of the Arte en la Rampa Cuban Culture Fair will run until next September 2, and will be the epicenter of different activities for the Cuban family through clubs, concerts, workshops and different recreational and debate spaces.
