The collision occurred around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Landesstraße 11 and Grießenweg. The cars were driven by a 22-year-old and 51-year-old local man respectively. As a result of the impact, the 22-year-old’s vehicle turned 90 degrees and came to a standstill several meters from the center of the intersection. The accident driver got off lightly, the young woman did not. The 51-year-old was slightly injured. An 18-year-old Austrian woman in the 22-year-old’s car was seriously injured and taken to the Innsbruck clinic by rescue. The 51-year-old was impaired by alcohol at the time of the accident. In addition, he is currently not in possession of a valid driver’s license. He is reported to the Innsbruck district authority.
