JAKARTA – Secretary Golkar Party Expert Council Ganjar Razuni did not agree that Ridwan Hisjam was sacked from the party bearing the banyan tree. Ganjar regretted the statement by Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Firman Soebagyo, who proposed that Ridwan Hisjam be dismissed.
Ganjar believes that Firman Soebagyo does not have the capacity to propose the dismissal of a senior Golkar Party politician who is also a DPR member, Ridwan Hisjam. The reason is, Firman Soebagyo (FS) is Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party for Disaster Management, not in the legal field who is more concerned with dealing with this problem.
“Regarding Firman Soebagyo’s proposal, for Ridwan Hisjam to be sanctioned by the Ethics Council, according to Seswankar, the Golkar Party FS has no competence to propose such a thing,” said Ganjar in his official statement, Tuesday (18/7/2023).
Apart from that, he said, Firman Soebagyo is also not the Honorary Council of the DPR (MKD), if in relation to Ridwan Hisjam being a member of the Golkar Party faction in the DPR. “In the DPP, Firman is only the Deputy Head of the Disaster Management Sector, so his proposal raises questions regarding in what capacity he made the proposal,” he said.
He also saw that Ridwan had not committed a crime, so he did not deserve the dismissal sanction. “I think what Pak Ridwan did was just a matter of difference of opinion, not because of a crime, so the matter of dismissal was inappropriate,” he added.
The same thing was said by the Board of Trustees of the East Java Golkar Party DPD Yusuf Husni. He did not agree with the proposal submitted by Firman. According to him, the proposal was a big mistake.
Apart from not having the capacity, it is considered that the proposed dismissal of Ridwan Hisjam will actually worsen Golkar’s vote. This is because Ridwan is one of the senior cadres of Golkar in East Java, who has long been involved in raising the party in East Java and taking part in the national arena.
“Ridwan Hisjam is an ideological cadre of the Golkar Party, and a senior cadre who is still actively working for the progress of Golkar. So I think it’s the wrong address to propose that Ridwan be subject to a dismissal sanction,” said Husni.
He further said that Golkar cadres in East Java did not agree with the proposal. Ridwan is said to be still highly respected. Ridwan is a former DPD Chair for the East Java Golkar Party who has succeeded in bringing Golkar’s vote in that area up 45 percent.
“In my opinion, suggesting that Ridwan Hisjam be sacked is tantamount to reducing the electability of the Golkar Party in East Java. This is not the right decision to sanction him. Regarding political differences in Golkar, that is a natural thing,” he said.
Just to note, the name of Ridwan Hisjam as a member of the Expert Council was previously widely discussed. He is said to be the person who suggested holding the Golkar Party Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) if Airlangga Hartarto does not run as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres). He also highlighted the declining electability of the Golkar Party, so changes needed to be made.
As previously reported, the Golkar Party Ethics Council summoned two cadres who discussed holding the party’s Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub). The summons for the first day of the Ethics Council was held by summoning the Deputy Chairperson of the Central National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Self-Reliant Employee Organization (Depinas SOKSI) Lawrence Siburian, Monday (17/7/2023). The summons to the Ethics Council for Lawrence was held behind closed doors at the Golkar Party DPP Office, Jalan Anggrek Neli, West Jakarta. The trial against Lawrence began at around 10.00 WIB and ended at 13.00 WIB.
