Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janashakti Party Joins BJP-led National Democratic Alliance: New Delhi Update

by time news

Ram Vilas Paswan’s son, Chirag Paswan, has formally announced that his party, Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas), has joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This decision comes after the split of the Lok Jansakti Party following the demise of former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.

The split resulted in Ram Vilas Paswan’s younger brother, Pashupati Kumar Paras, forming a separate party called Rashtriya Lok Janashakti Party. Paras has formed an alliance with the BJP and currently serves as Union Minister. Chirag Paswan, on the other hand, continued to run his own party, Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas), without any alliance.

Chirag Paswan recently met with Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda to discuss the concerns of his party. Following this meeting, Paswan announced that his party has now joined the BJP alliance in the NDA. He expressed confidence that the alliance will win all 40 constituencies in Bihar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While Paswan did not share specific details of the discussions he held with BJP leaders, he did reveal that his party will contest from Hajipur, the Lok Sabha seat currently represented by his stepfather, Pashupati Kumar Paras. He also mentioned that his party intends to contest the Bihar assembly elections in 2025 in collaboration with the BJP-led NDA.

This development is likely to have a significant impact on the political landscape in Bihar. The BJP-led NDA’s partnership with Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas) could prove beneficial in securing a strong presence in the state. It remains to be seen how this alliance will unfold and whether it will bring electoral success for both parties in Bihar.
