The corona continues to spread – and quickly: 4,916 Israelis received a message yesterday (Thursday) that they are positive about Corona. This is the highest daily verified number since September 27th.
A total of 157,600 tests were deciphered and the positive rate was 3.15%. This is the highest positive percentage since October 1st. At the same time, the infection rate continues to rise and this morning stands at 1.71 – indicating a very widespread spread of the plague.
169 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals around the country, a further increase compared to yesterday. However, this is a relatively moderate increase. 93 of the patients are hospitalized in critical condition and 37 of them are resuscitated. Data from the Ministry of Health show that about 77% of critically ill patients are not vaccinated at all.

At the same time, the number of red localities continues to grow. As of this morning, the list includes Ma’ale Adumim, Kiryat Ono, Mevaseret Zion, Revava, Yavne, Rishon Lezion, Tzur Hadassah, Yad Binyamin, Azor, Hod Hasharon, Raanana, Ganei Tikva, Ness Ziona and Ramat Hasharon.
Among the orange localities, which may also turn red in the coming days, are Givat Shmuel, Holon, Givatayim, Or Yehuda and Modi’in-Maccabim-Re’ut.
Due to the increase in morbidity, there has been a jump in the number of active patients and their number stands at over 24,000, the vast majority of them in a mild and very mild condition.

415 of those diagnosed yesterday came from abroad. 106 from the United States, 60 from Turkey, 41 from the United Arab Emirates, 23 from France, 18 from Hungary, 16 from Ukraine, 14 from Italy, 11 from Greece, 11 from the Czech Republic, 11 from Switzerland, 9 from Austria and 9 from Britain. Verified people who came from Spain, Tanzania, Canada, Portugal, Finland, Brazil and Poland, among others, were discovered.
318 of the verified people who came from abroad are defined as vaccinated and 72 are not vaccinated. The rest with a vaccine that is not valid. That is, 76.6% of the verified people who came from abroad are vaccinated. Among all verified yesterday – 59% are defined as vaccinated.
In addition, there was a jump in the number of verified students to Corona – from 4,827 last Friday to 9,914 today. This is a sharp jump of about 105%. In addition, 62,570 students are in isolation, according to data published by the Ministry of Health.
In the vaccine sector – yesterday, more than 12,000 Israelis received the third dose of the vaccine. This is the highest number in weeks. About 4,300 of those vaccinated in Booster yesterday are aged 12 to 15. In addition, about 11,000 Israelis received the first vaccine dose yesterday, about 8,500 of them are aged 5 to 11.
