Wes Anderson’s film “The Island of Dogs” will be screened by KETHEA Epirus tomorrow Wednesday in the courtyard of Pyrsinella Mansion, as part of the cycle of free outdoor cinema screenings for young and old entitled Cine-sthimate evenings.

A 12-year-old protégé of the local corrupt mayor sets out on his own in search of his bodyguard dog when, by Presidential Decree, it is decided to move all the dogs of Megasaki City to a vast dump called Garbage Island. Wes Anderson’s stop-motion animation is a delightful, beautiful and scathingly political commentary on the totalitarian regimes and pets of our lives. He was awarded the Silver Bear for Directing at the Berlin International Film Festival.
There are screenings with the movie “Luca” in Kefalochori Konitsa on August 9 and in Paramythia on August 23, with the movie “A Cat Called Bob” in Katsikas on September 6 and with the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” at the venue of KETHEA (Korai 11) on September 21.
